Deploying Sugar in a VM environment like the open source Virtual Box software by Sun means we can run it on top of an existing school infrastructure .. Windows, Linux Desktop or Mac OSX. Like the LiveCD or USB key approach, it only needs to be done once. Perhaps if somebody (Dave?) could share their VM image, we can then have a go at figuring out the networking and sound issues. Joel and I had an idea that the sound problem could be just a simple fix.
Is there merit inviting Sun technical staff for their support? I have some contacts I could follow up but unwilling to step on anybodies toes or run off on a tangent.
