The recent thread really was mostly explaining status quo and insisting on clearing out misconceptions. I believe that there was no strong[1] disagreement on how to handle things, after all. (I admit above is a bold statement - please do complain if you disagree) Ubuntu already forked several weeks ago (if not more, and the fork is expected to only be temporary. I believe we all look forward to that! >This thread does belong on ieap because it directly faces the quality >of our product in the hands of end users and the process used to >generate that product. Some of it does, yes. I however consider some of it relevant only for the Alioth team (which still consist of both Debian and Ubuntu people even if its packaging is currently used mostly by Debian). - Jonas [1] Luke is enthusiastic and frustrated (as I am too) that his attempts at cracking my mysterious routines haven't carried fruit yet. But he is also relatively new, so I dare say that his arguments did not carry much weight. - -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkmUuDMACgkQn7DbMsAkQLiWEACfaOZKxBkhp+Pki1KkS0ew59B3 9xgAmgMdJjCYE8TdrhwfC7dSvyG4ybZP =2eAz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ IAEP -- It's An Education Project (not a laptop project!)
