I don't understand what you dislike about it. I do not expect the nickname to promote Sugar, just as "Lenny" does not itself promote Debian, or "Hoary promote Ubuntu. Actually, after I send the proposal I realized that in my opinion nicknames directly tied to Sugar is a bad idea, as it might dry out the namespace too quickly, and also confuse as the actual name does not (like e.g. Sucrose) hint about the the kind of relation. So I now propose instead to name Sugar releases _indirectly_ after great sugar-related personalities, and specifically propose to name next release: Van Houten Background material for my choice: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coenraad_Johannes_van_Houten Further ideas: http://www.enchantedlearning.com/inventors/food.shtml - Jonas P.S. This first nickname also serves as an excercise in avoiding CamelCasing everything: "van" is lowercase". ;-) - -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkmxPboACgkQn7DbMsAkQLjenwCdFtWI4C2TDAGhzlAeMr2SPQQ3 zboAn0dPYPR7pQMduQnUxzRChHHfHEn2 =hoL7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ IAEP -- It's An Education Project (not a laptop project!)
