An interesting read.

It is an outstanding case study about how to set up Sugar/OLPC/Open source project at
your local university.  One of the most important things I have learned from
working with RIT is downplaying the terms open source and free software.
While very important, open source and free software, can be very polarizing.

Early on, Prof. Jacobs did an outstanding job emphasising community service and
technology innovation, two things everyone at a university agrees is
important.  He let everyone come to the same conclusion he had.  Open
source and free software is the natural intersection of community service and
technological innovation.
