We don't do a VM edition for a reason. There's a number of different technologies (VMWare x3, VirtualBox, KVM and others just to name a few) most of which come with different disk, network and graphics types and it makes it very hard to target them all with high quality releases. On the other hand you can connect the SoaS iso image to a virtual cdrom on all platforms just fine and boot it and it will work. You can then just run "liveinst" from the terminal to install straight onto all of the virtual environment and it will deal with all the issues with disk, network and graphics and you're away with a working VM in minutes that is optimal for your configuration.
