Tema: Contemplando tu voto por miembros de la Junta de Supervisión de SugarLabs (de aquí en adelante la llamaré SLOB, usando la abreviatura de su nombre en Inglés) Hola a Todos, Escribo este mensaje para que todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad SugarLabs puedan reflexionar un poco sobre lo que su voto por candidatos para integrar SLOB significará este año. Deseo comenzar diciendo que los siete candidatos tienen muy buenas calificaciones y todos, cada uno a su manera, han contribuido sustancialmente a tratar de hacer y a hacer que Sugar sea mejor. Como encargado de "Extensión Educativa", frecuentemente me encuentro actuando como facilitador entre la porción técnicos/desarrolladores de la comunidad y la no tan técnica Maestros y Educadores, que están usando Sugar o que desearían hacerlo. En este papel, frecuentemente veo la separación entre cómo estos dos grupos diferentes ven las cosas. La mejor manera para mí de describir esto sería decir que la porción de la comunidad que se inclina hacia desarrolladores/técnicos, cree que "Es un Proyecto de Educación".como lo dice [el nombre de] la lista. Trabajando con maestros y educadores, ellos tienden a ver las cosas como que "Es un Proyecto Técnico". En las listas de correo, en IRC [sistema de comunicación verbal a larga distancia usado por SLOB para sus sesiones] y en reuniones [presenciales] de la comunidad, este tema de la necesidad de Sugar Labs de incluir más maestros en su seno, surge constantemente. Para remediar esta situación, yo creo es muy importante que Sugar Labs incluya un Maestro en SLOB, por dos razones básicas. - La primera es que la dirección de Sugar Labs y la Plataforma de Aprendizaje Sugar nunca podrán estar tan cerca de los usuarios finales, Maestros y Estudiantes, sin ella [como con un Maestro en SLOB]. - Segunda es el mensaje alto y claro que envía a todos los maestros y educadores que usan o esperan usar Sugar, en el sentido de que sus inquietudes y problemas están verdaderamente tenidos en cuenta. Una vez más, sin un Maestro en SLOB, esto podría ser verdad en palabra, pero no el mejor resultado para Sugar y su uso en el aula. Esto debe ser cierto en los hechos. En la elección de este año hay un solo candidato que cumple con estas condiciones y es el Dr. Gerald Ardito. Si hubiese otros maestros yo también estaría promoviendo sus candidaturas. Entiendan que no se trata de los candidatos como individuos. Todos son fantásticos! Se trata de una decisión sobre el rumbo de Sugar. Algunos ya tienen un candidato favorito debido a que trabajaron personalmente con él o porque comparten sus visiones técnicas. A ellos les pido que tomen un momento para considerar tal decisión y se pregunten que ocurrirá si el resultado de la elección termina otra vez dejándonos sin Maestros [en SLOB]. ¿Podremos hacer que Sugar se vuelva la Plataforma de Enseñanza "Aprende Cómo Aprender" que todos deseamos? Todo lo que espero es que cuando los miembros de la comunidad estén decidiendo su selección de candidatos, tengan en cuenta estas ideas y decidan luego lo que crean mejor para el futuro de Sugar.
