All participants believed that they will be able to cope with problems better and enhance the levels of education and research work by furthering international multilateral cooperation. Therefore, cooperative works in education and research programs among Asian countries will be very fruitful. The restructuring within a department is a plan for strength and development in the future. It promotes institutional structure flexibility, academic accountability and academic-industry linkage; these are essential elements of university in moving toward university autonomy. Role of Indonesian Association of Geologist in Geological Education: Since its establishment in 2000, IAGI-KNPGI has a major role in the achievement and projection of educational development on geology; and the achievement, capability and prosperity of geological research and investigations as well as their geologist and researcher. The Vision of KNPGI (National Committee on Indonesian Geology Education), and its primary mission for facilitating and for improving education and co-operation activities, in turn will create a fruitful condition for the moment initiation of an education and research under the KNPGI authorization and management, thereby in the next term, they have to be maintained and established.
