Company Description
Independent (international) operating company.
The company has a requirement for Development Geologists with expert
ability to carry out production geology tasks such as:
a.. Developing integrated reservoir geological models -
integrating
all available geological data (logs cores, FMI, DST etc.) and to use the
results of 3D seismic interpretation to build depositional and reservoir
models for simulation purposes.
b.. Field Development Planning
c.. Sedimentology and stratigraphy.
d.. Report writing and careful documentation of all
interpretations
Qualifications/ Experience: Degree in a relevant Geoscience
discipline
essential. Postgraduate degree in clastic sedimentology (or relevant work
experience in this field) preferred.
a.. Minimum 7 years experience as a Development Geologist
preferably
with some international experience.
b.. Exposure to 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and experience or
familiarity with visualization software will be beneficial.
c.. Skill and experience in 3D reservoir modelling
d.. Previous experience in reservoir and field development
activities and integrated drilling operations in a cross-functional team
environment.
e.. Experience in integrating concepts and data from other
disciplines with geologic concepts, information and interpretations.
f.. Strong focus on delivering exceptional results
g.. Strong team and communication skills; experience working
within
and/or with partner groups beneficial.
h.. Malaysian or Indonesian nationality preferred. Indian
nationals
may be considered.

SR GEOPHYSICIST
The company currently requires a Senior Geophysicist for a staff position
to undertake geophysical work within a multidisciplinary subsurface team
in support of the field development and surrounding exploitation
opportunities.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- A highly motivated geophysics graduate (B Sc or higher)
- More than 7 years experience in handling 2D/3D Seismic interpretation.
- An understanding of Geostatistical Model & Advanced Seismic Analysis
(attribute complex, AVO, inversion) is a must.
- A pro-active team member to field development.
- A conceptual thinker, you will add value through new ideas and
initiatives and be an accomplished communicator.
- Experience of dealing with regulatory authorities within a PSC
environment is advantageous.
