Press Conference Invitation Dear editors, The 9 October landslide incident at the Freeport / Rio Tinto owned Grasberg mine which resulted in eight worker�s deaths and five injured is the result of prioritising resource exploitation over human rights and environment. Since 1967 when Freeport began operations the indigenous Papuans have been victims of Freeport�s ferocious exploitation. US President George W Bush must also be held responsible for the violations of Papuan human rights and traditional land rights, environmental destruction and politics of genocide by Freeport McMoran, a US company.
