Dear IPA Members, The Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) will conduct a 5-day course entitled "3-D Seismic Interpretation Techniques" which has been well received in the past. The course will be held in Bali from January 19 to January 24, 2004 and will be taught by Alistair Brown, a well known consulting geophysicist from the United States. He has taught this timely course around the world and received excellent reviews.
Dr. Brown is also AAPG distinguished lecturer and author of the best selling AAPG memoir, "Interpretation of Three-Dimensional Seismic Data". A copy of the latest edition of this book will be provided to delegates as part of the course. The course teaches the techniques best suited to interpretation of 3-D data, including recent developments. Whether the data set is use for field scale appraisal and development or for regional reconnaissance, this course will help optimize the geophysical interpretations. For the past three years that IPA conducted this course, it was always oversubscribed. To make it effective, the number of participants will be limited to 24, so your earliest registration is highly recommended to secure your place on this course. The course fee is US$1,850 for IPA members and US$1950 for non-members. The course fee includes airfare ticket Jakarta - Denpasar - Jakarta and hotel accommodation in the Novotel Coralia Benoa for 6 (six) nights. Please let me know if you have any question; I can be reached by e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Notes: Registration deadline is November 16, 2003 as per request by the Instructor. My best regards, H.L. Ong Chairman - Continuing Education IPA Professional Division Committee Enclosure
