Dear  IAGI-HAGI  Distinguished Members, Only 6 (six) weeks to go, please register now for the  IAGI-HAGI JCJ2003 Field Trips :   JCJ2003 FIELD TRIP INFORMATION   West Java Cross-Section Field Trip (18-22 Dec 2003)   Instructor:  DR. Ir. Dardji Nurhadi  (ITB Senior Lecture in Sedimentology and Regional Geology)   Trip Summary The field trip will cover the observation of the outcrop of Jalur Pegunungan Selatan at South West Java, Bogor Belt and Volcanic Arc at Central West Java and North Platform at North West Java. The participant could get information of the development configuration of West Java geological processes, which consist of Pre Tertiary to Holocene sedimentation processes, basin evolution, tectonic development and volcanic activities. These all have some implication to the hydrocarbon and mineral deposit   provinces in West Java.   It will spend four days trip (incl. 3 days overnight) from Sukabumi-Bandung-Majalengka and ended at Cirebon.   Who should attend? Petroleum/mining geologists and geophysicists who have deal with regional aspect of exploration and production activities.   Cost Rp. 3.500.000, - / person (Incl. accommodation, board and lodging) Minimum participants 10 people   Mt. Salak Geothermal & Mt. Pongkor Gold Mining Field Trip (18-19 Dec 2003)   Instructor:  Novi Ganevianto (Unocal) who has more than 10 year experiences in geothermal exploration activities   Trip Summary Day 1. Participants will see the activities of Salak Geothermal Field including exploration method, the development of field and the utilization of steam for electrical power. Day 2. Participant will observe the exploration and production activities of gold mining at Mt. Pongkor or including. traditional mining activities.   All participants will overnight 1 day at Bogor.   Who should attend? Mining geologists/geophysicists, geoscientists, volcanologists etc.   Cost Rp. 1.500.000, - / person (Incl. accommodation, board and lodging) Minimum participants 10 people   Field Trip Registration : 1.
