The third course of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) this year is a 2-day Engineering course entitled "Corrosion and Its Control in Oil and Gas Production" sponsored by Total E&P France. The course will be held in the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta March 8-9, 2004 and will be taught by Dr. Yves GUNALTUN. Ives GUNALTUN joined Total in 1982 as corrosion and treatment engineer. He is involved in field developments project, technical assistance to affiliates, R&D projects in corrosion, in audits and training courses. He is an active member of NACE and European Federation of Corrosion. The objective of this course is to improve awareness of the engineers in charge of operations and design about the corrosion risks, remedial actions to be taken and monitoring of corrosion parameters and treatment efficiencies. Young corrosion engineers, inspection maintenance and process engineers, and also engineers involved in the design of anti corrosion systems can attend the course.
