Tergantung kedalaman dan data dari seismic-nya. 150 ft ranging dari 30-50 ms
dan kalau bukan High Res Seismic sangat susah untuk dilihat.
Seperti Disebutkan Kars Topographic limestone sangat umum terjadi, yang
gampang dilihat seperti di Maros Sulawesi, Jawa Tengah dan Timur dll.
Untuk reefal carbonate (ataupun Carbonate) Velocity sangat variatif berbeda
dengan clastic yang lebih homogen dan predictable.

besar velocity differences nya dengan si host

oleh geophysicistnya
untuk melakukan time-depth conversion pada reservoir
yang berupa

acuan menunjukkan pick

Geophysicistnya memetakan top dari carbonate

Geologistnya melakukan pick pada top carbonate dari

oleh perubahan drastic baik di GR, resistivity,
travel time maupun
density-neutron-nya), jadi betul-betul pick top
carbonate envelope at
the well.
Bermain-main dengan atribut yang diturunkan dari
picking si geophysicist
(ndak usah lah disebutkan, nanti dikata dagangan
lagi), kita melihat
adanya pola-pola ellipsoid atupun rounded yang
terorientasi dengan baik,
yang ternyata searah dengan tegasan-tegasan tektonik
setempat.
Ternyata, sumur-sumur yang menimbulkan discrepancy
time-depth tersebut
berada pada pada zona-zona yang dibatasi oleh
ellipsoid tersebut, dan
ketika dilakukan cross check (ini kebetulan ada
sidewallcore-nya),
sample yang berada diatas carbonate envelope
tersebut (dideskripsi
sebagai calcareous shale) lebih tepat jika
dideskripsi sebagai paleo
soil.
Jadi, besar kemungkinan zone-zone yang berupa
ellipsoid tersebut adalah
paleo doline / sinkhole, hal yang sangat lumrah
dijumpai pada karst
topography.
Kadang-kadang kalau sudah kecanggihan memang suka
lupa back to basic.
