I A G I SEMINAR ON INDONESIAN MINERAL & COAL DISCOVERIES "New Discoveries On Indonesian Mineral & Coal Deposits" Bogor, 18 - 20 September 2005 BACKGROUND: It has been quite long time that the Indonesian discovery history of mineral and coal deposits and its models have not been published comprehensively. Last publication of the similar topic was in 1994, compiled in the Journal of Geochemical Exploration, Vol. 50, Nos. 1-3, and Special Issues: "Mineral Deposits of Indonesia - Discoveries of the Past 25 Years". Currently, although there are still many non-technical issues faced by Indonesian mining industry, the prices of some worldwide commodities have been climbed up triggering the commencement of exploration activities in the country. Therefore, now is the time to document and publish the mineral and coal knowledge during the last ten years through a Seminar on Indonesian Mineral and Coal Discoveries.
