Disini tertulis sbb: Berhala Island is not far from Teluk Sandakan and in Belawan district, Deli Serdang, the island covers an area of 5ha. Accessible by motor boat and the best time to visit is between April-August. The marine recreation available are diving, fishing and water skiing. The place is ideal for picnicking and swimming. A lighthouse on the highest point offers photographers captivating views. Other than that, the beautiful coral reefs and a lighthouse on a peak 600 feet from sea level are amongst the attractions of this island. The island is inhabited by 9 Family Heads of Riau Malay origin whose main source of living is fishing. In the months of October and November the island becomes a stopover for migrant birds and it is at this time that it will be more interesting for tourists to visit Berhala Island.
