Lha yang menarik, arah memanjang dari strike slip fault ini justru paralel dan berimpit dengan sumbu memanjang antklinorium Balikpapan. Jelas terlihat kalau struktur tersebut terbentuk oleh multi tectonism stages. Ada kemunculan "pull apart" basin, walupun sangat lokal. Umur Late Miocene - Pliocene.
