Petroleum system Oil and gas in Enrekang Block produced from Tertiary Eocene age deeper target which is Toraja Formation. The reservoirs mostly are fluvio-deltaic fine medium sandstones, Mio-Pliocene Carbonate and Volcanoclastic. Source rock of oil and gas of this field believes derived from organic rich of Lower Toraja. The kerogene type indicates that Tertiary deposits are dominated by a type II/III kerogene derived from higher plant material, with minor algal, exinite or lipnite influence. Muddy and carbonates Makale Formation act as seal.
Porosities of Toraja sandstone range up to 20 25 % , TOC values 31% 81% and HI values 158 - 758 Both of lateral and vertical oil and gas migration would have happened in Miocene age. Vertical migration to shallow reservoirs proceeded by means of fault conduits extending directly from source rocks to the reservoirs. Lateral migration would have proceeded along dip slope.
