Untuk saat ini memang batubara menjadi andalan untuk sumber energi sbg pembangkit listrik ( adanya Keppres 2006 ttg percepatan proyek 10.000 MW listrik dari batubara yg harus selesai 2009 )dg adanya proyek ini kedepan banyak dibutuhkan batubara didalam negri, Bagaimana kelangsungan pengadaaannya , ini masih banyak menjadi perdebatan ( dalam satu makalahnya Asosiasi Per.tambang batubara tlh memeberikan beberapa usulan dalam pengadaan batubara untuk listrik 10. rb MW ini ) ISM
