betul pak harry, memang mestinya sudah sesuai prosedur, lha orang2
bppka (waktu itu) juga sempat menjenguk kok. hanya saja, sbg 'tenaga
pengumpul' conto2 batuan tsb (bersama 11 teman lainnya selama 6
tahun), rasanya kok sayang ya, demikian sulit rasanya utk mendapatkan
data, tapi mesti dibuang hanya dalam waktu seminggu. waktu itu, saya
juga baru 5 tahunan jadi prajurit di lapangan utk kumpeni migas.

saya dengar sih ada, frans.

kalo yg saya alami bahkan sebaliknya. tahun 1997, ketika menutup
'kantor cabang' di luar jakarta/jawa, saya bertugas untuk
menghancurkan semua conto batuan yang ada dalam satu gudang besar yang
dikumpulkan selama lebih dari 6 tahun. conto batuan tsb terdiri dari
conto yg diambil dari singkapan (surface geological mapping), cutting
sample (dari shothole utk seismik dan sebagian kecil dari sumur
pemboran eksplorasi), serta conto inti batuan (sekitar 30% dari jumlah
seluruhnya; berasal dari 'coring team' yg melakukan pemboran dangkal
khusus utk mengambil conto inti tsb).

saya perlukan waktu 5 hari utk melaksanakan tugas tsb. dengan satu
truk besar utk mengangkut conto2 batuan dari gudang dan dibuang ke
satu tempat di luar kota. saya tidak ingat berapa kali dalam sehari
truk tsb mondar-mandir dari gudang ke tempat pembuangan/penghancuran.
ada sekitar 10 tenaga kerja kasar yg membantu tugas ini (selain sopir
truk).

saya hanya mengoleksi sangat sedikit conto utk dibawa pulang ke pulau
jawa. berat bo, soalnya juga mesti bawa barang2 lain.
