Yth Mbak Dyah.
Alangkah bersyukurnya mbak Dyah mendapatkan kesempatan menginjakkan kaki di
Cape Town, kota terkidul di benua Afrika. Kisah mbak Dyah persis seperti
kisah teman mang Okim.
Konon di zaman Orde Baru, kenalan mang Okim tersebut yang staff senior
Sekneg, nganter rombongan penggede Republik Indonesia ( bukan Republik
Mimpi ) ke Cape Town. Sewaktu sight seeing ke luar kota, rombongannya
singgah ke suatu Jewelry Shop. Dia langsung jatuh cinta ke sebutir batumulia
yang warnanya biru violet ( Alexandrite / Tanzanite ? ) . Dia coba
menawarnya tetapi tidak dikasikan. Pulang ke Cape Town , dia tak bisa tidur
mikirin sang batumulia. . . . . love on the first sight . . . . . cinte pada
pandangan pertame !
Keesokannya, dengan hati berdebar-debar karena takut batumulianya telah
dibeli orang lain, dia nyolong waktu pergi ke Jewelry Shop tersebut. Tanpa
nawar lagi, batumulia yang dicintainya pada pandangan pertama tersebut
langsung saja dibelinya tunai - - - - beberapa ribu dollar US.
Yth Mbak Dyah,
Mengenai Tanzanite yang kekerasannya hanya 6,5 skala Mohs, merupakan salah
satu dari anggota mineral Zoisite yang paling beken. Keindahannya memang
aduhai. Temuannya di Tanzania baru sekitar tahun 1967 . Yang pertama
mengoleksinya adalah Manuel de Souza yang menyebutnya dengan nama Swahili
( ciel bleu / langit biru ) sedangkan nama Tanzanite dibaptis oleh Henry
Platt dari group Tiffany. Di lapangan, Tanzanite ditemukan di kontak antara
batuan gneiss dan marmer, beasosiasi dengan beberapa mineral/ batumulia
lainnya seperti garnet, diopside, tourmaline, dll.
Mang Okim sendiri belum pernah memiliki Tanzanite. Hanya kalau yang namanya
Zoisite, alhamdulilah mang Okim punya koleksinya, 2 potong beratnya
masing-masing beberapa kilo. Warnanya hijau dan merupakan pembungkus dari
mineral korundum berwara merah ( ruby / mirah delima jenis daging ).
Beberapa waktu yang lalu mang Okim pernah memosting kisah mirah delima dan
Zoisite ini di milis IAGI . Nanti kelau mbak Dyah ke Bandung, bisa deeh
lihat Zoicite koleksi mang Okim.

ini...warnanya biruuu tapi harganya mahal =)
Kata yang jual cadangannya gak banyak...Cuma sampai 10 tahun kedepan.
Apakah di Indonesia gak ada,pak?
