Oil & Gas News Talisman, Pertamina, Petronas tipped to win exploration blocks Thursday, September 10, 2009 - 10:14PM GMT+7 Government is expected to announce the winners of five exploration blocks that were offered through regular bidding round on Friday, a government source said. The source said that Canadian oil, gas firm will be awarded Andaman III block offshore North Sumatra, while Pertamina-Petronas consortium will be awarded West Glagah Kambuna block also offshore North Sumatra. Three other blocks, namely East Bula offshore Seram, Maluku, SE Halmahera-SW Kofiau, offshore South Halmahera and West Papua IV, offshore West Papua will be awarded to Niko Resources-Black Gold Energy consortium. Government opened the block's tender in October 2008.
