Botol plastik bekas ternyata ketika dicari malah tidak ketemu, padahal biasanya "pabalatak" disekitar dapur atau meja. Lalu atap tutup saling dirapatkan dengan power glue..tunggu sampai rekat dan kering..kemudian dilubangi bagian atapnya hingga tembus dengan diameter 3-5mm. Botol seterusnya diisi pasir kuarsa halus. Pasir ini saya minta dari Lab Sandbox Prodi Geologi. Pasirnya berasal dari Formasi Ngrayong Jawa Tengah! Ternyata cukup unik mengamati jam pasir berbeda bejana, selain eksperiman waktu "menggelontor"nya dan pengendapan pasir, bisa nampak juga bagaimana kelakuan aliran pasir di bidang miring dan berliku-liku. Selain kita bisa amati juga "mini subsidence" atau amblesan dari berbagai sudut jatuhnya pasir..Nah sementara ini durasi jam pasirnya sekitar 5 menit, lumayanlah buat disiplin waktu baca koran dan "facebook" an..! Pada attachment adalah foto JAM PASIR NGRAYONG Mungkin bisa dibikin durasinya 100 harian, lumayan buat pantau kabinet ESBEYE..
