JOB VACANCY
Seruway Offshore Exploration Ltd.,
as a subsidiary of a dynamic and growing international energy company is
looking for a candidate to join our exploration team, based in Jakarta,
Indonesia.
GEOPHYSICIST
Duties & Responsibilities of
the position include:
* Be responsible for day-to-day geophysical interpretation works -
including undertaking 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and defining and
developing prospects & leads, undertaking synthetic seismogram generation and
well tie resolution, fault interpretation and time map construction, velocity
analysis and depth conversion, depth map preparation, volumetric calculation
and risk assessment.
* Preparing, assembling, loading and QC the data in for interpretation
projects.
* Interaction with various Indonesia regulatory bodies in order to
submit reports and gain timely government approvals when required.
* The Geophysicist is expected to be a "hand-on" person, involved in
any Geology-Geophysics evaluation works and also other related works such as
maintaining the G&G database.
The successful candidate should have
the following qualification:
* An Indonesian citizen, domiciled in Jakarta.
* A Bachelor (S1) or Master (S2) degree in Geophysics.
* Basic knowledge of 2D/3D seismic acquisition, processing and
interpretation.
* A minimum 5 (five) years experience in a similar role.
* A proven capability to work under pressure and independently.
* A proven ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written
English.
* An ability to work as a team and willing to learn and share.
* Sufficient knowledge in the 2D/3D seismic interpretation and
synthetic seismogram ties are essential.
* Proficiency in time and depth map construction is a must.
* Knowledge in geosciences applications (e.g. IHS Kingdom, Petrel etc.)
are highly advantageous.
* Self-motivation, ability to work independently with minimum
supervision but keep providing a strong support for the team.
* Proactive, good attitude, flexible and enthusiastic – eager to
succeed.
GEOLOGIST
Duties
& Responsibilities of the position include:
· Be
responsible for day-to-day geological works.
· Interpretating
and correlating of well logs and other regional geological data using
commercially available software.
· Working
in basin modeling and sequence stratigraphy, integrating geological data for
regional play analysis, prospect evaluation, prospect volume
and risking assessment and appraisal activities.
· Working
in different geological settings including clastics and carbonates.
· Being
able to perform basic seismic interpretation.
· Being
able to assist in the calculation of reserve estimates and risking of the
exploration prospects.
· Working
knowledge of other subsurface disciplines including seismic techniques and
reservoir engineering.
· Actively
involved in internal and external WP&B preparation for government agencies.
· Dealing
with related external government agencies such as BP Migas and Migas and joint
venture partners when presenting technical justifications for work programs and
budgets.
The successful candidate should have the following
qualifications:
