Dear IAGI Member,
Biro Kursus IAGI (Indonesian Association of Geologists) has arranged a workshop in November 2013. Workshop will be held at Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Indonesia. *“CBM Reservoir Engineering, Drilling and Completion : From Exploration to Production, the Technical Challenges”* * * *November 13th-15th**, 2013* *Yogyakarta**, Indonesia * Instructor : Dr. Alan A. Bayrak Duration : 3 Days Workshop Workshop Level : Intermediate *About The Workshop :* This course is designed to assist individuals throughout the financial, coal and petroleum industries understand Coal Seam Gas (CBM). This will cover the entire CBM project spectrum, from exploration to production, and is intended to provide an introduction to those who are new to the CBM industry yet show relevant case histories for those currently working on ongoing CBM projects. This will identify the unique characteristics of the Australasian CBM scene, with relevant comparison to the historical development of the industry in North America, and more recent developments in CBM throughout the world. A feature of the course will be the presentation of a global perspective of the similarities and differences in CBM plays. *You Will Learn :*** CBM Reservoir Properties - · Properties that control GIP - · Properties that control fluid flow Basic Reservoir Engineering for CBM - • Data requirements - • Calculating GIP - • Analyzing and forecasting production Introduction to CBM drilling - • Unique challenges - • Background to CBM drilling development - • CBM drilling basics - • CBM drilling & geology - • CBM Production & Completion from a drilling perspective. Late cancellation sometimes causes event to be abandoned. Non attendance participant will be full charged as all preparations will have been done. Minimum Participants: 7 persons *About Instructor :* Dr. Alan Bayrak is multi-disciplinary Exploration Geologist with 20 years of international exploration experience in oil-gas and coal areas in various geographical territories, including Queensland, New South Wales, Otway Basin, Irish Midlands, Thrace Basin, Western Black Sea and Carpathians, Kalimantan and Sumatra. He extensively worked entire upstream cycle and extensive exposure to coalbed methane (CBM) and coal explorations. He experienced in preparation/management and execution of CBM exploration drilling programs and CBM prospects. Moreover, from 2005, he provide technical consultancty services to a number of companies for Coal Seam Gas Exploration, Shale Gas and CBM Portfolio Management, for example LNG Japan Corporation (Technical evaluation of the South Kalimantan CBM prospects), Energi Mega Persada (Managed Sangatta-II and Tabulako CBM Exploration and Production Programs), Caddy Energy (Consultancy for CBM development and economics), and many others ---------------------------------------------------- Joint Convention Medan 2013 (JCM 2013) The 38th HAGI and 42nd IAGI Annual Convention & Exhibition Register Now! http://www.jcm2013.com/registration/ ---------------------------------------------------- Visit IAGI Website: http://iagi.or.id Hubungi Kami: http://www.iagi.or.id/contact ---------------------------------------------------- Iuran tahunan Rp.250.000,- (profesional) dan Rp.100.000,- (mahasiswa) Pembayaran iuran anggota ditujukan ke: Bank Mandiri Cab.
