Sebenarnya tidak salah bila menyebutkan Kalimantan itu “relatif” aman dari gempa. Namun jelas tidak ada lokasi di dunia ini yang benar-benar bebas dari gempa. Hampir semua batuan dasar di bumi ini pernah mengalami tekanan (stress) dan mungkin masih menyimpan tenaga.
