Sekiranya IAGI bisa mengadakan "field trip terakhir Cinambo " sebelum terendam....... dan didokumentasikan semua singkapan yang ada, dibukukan, dipublikasikan kalau perlu di film kan (spt national geographic )........ tentu akan menjadi warisan bagi kita dan anak cucu kita semua.

Sebelumnya beberapa kali penundaan dilakukan krn berbagai sebab, termasuk karena adanya protes dari masyarakat. Dari aspek geologi nampaknya lokasi waduk ini pun telah menjadi polemik terkait dng keamanan waduk. Beberapa kalangan berpendapat bahwa lokasi waduk berada di zona patahan Baribis (thrust) yg aktif. Dari hasil gugling, hingga 900 juta m3 air akan bisa tertampung di waduk ini, shg menjadi rawan kalau si Baribis (atau splay nya) bergerak. Adakah yg punya data/ info rinci ttg Baribis Fault ini? Dari berbagai literatur saya hanya jumpai info ttg Baribis ini secara sangat regional (e.g. Situmorang and Barber, 1996) dan belum ketemu yg mendiskripsi si Baribis ini secara detil. Kang Danny Hilman (pakar geotektonik kita) juga bilang via komunikasi pribadi, belum ada studi detil ttg Baribis ini, shg belum dimasukkan ke dalam peta PSHA Indonesia, 2010 (yg jadi RSNI 2012). Kalau data ini ada tentunya akan sangat membantu kita semua utk mengklarifikasi posisi waduk Jatigede terhadap patahan2 aktif di sekitarnya. Melihat skala bendungan yg besar ini, mestinya studi geoteknik dan studi sesar aktif yg memadai sudah dilakukan sebelum pembangunan dan upaya-upaya mitigasi sudah dibuat. Hanya saja mungkin data-data dan info ini memang belum dipublikasikan. Adakah yg bisa sharing?
