Karena sama dengan ilmu yg lain, geologi juga merupakan ilmu yg berkembang, terkoneksi kiri kanan dengan cabang ilmu yg lain, munculnya topik khusus spt itu akan selalu menarik perhatian. Kira-kira di awal 2000-an topik-topik spt ini pernah diwadahi oleh IAGI (di acara PIT-nya) dalam kelompok “unconventional geology” (seingat saya salah satu/ dua sub-topiknya waktu itu adalah “geo-medicine/ medication”, di event-event internasonal ada juga “geo-wine”….). Kalau tahun ini banyak topik “unconventional”, mestinya bisa kita buatkan kelompok khusus ini. Silakan panitia JCM.
