Hybrid rice may be an option for Indonesia to improve its rice production systems. The topic will be discussed by Dr. Ed Redo�a, drawn from the Philippine's experience where hybrid rice is getting more and more popular among farmers and a chunk of agricultural budget goes to hybrid rice program.
Dr. Redo�a, Deputy Executive Director of PhilRice (Philippine Rice Research Institute), is visiting this country to help drafting a new hybrid rice program of Indonesia.
The seminar will be open for interested public, free of charge, and mainly fit policy makers, agro-economists, rice breeders, seed producers, lecturers of agricultural universities, journalists.
