Looks great!

I notice one weird thing though - of the 3 top-level sections, 'iBATIS', 'Documentation' and 'Community', only the first works as a link. The other two just reload the page you're already viewing. This looks particularly odd if I click something like 'Downloads' and then 'Documentation'. 'Documentation' reloads only to still be displaying the downloads page. Maybe they shouldn't be hyperlinks?

Other than that - yay!

Hi all,

Our new website is based on Staticmesh from Pols Consulting. If there are no objections, I'm going to replace the Forrest based site found at:

http://incubator.apache.org/ibatis/site/index.html

I'll also commit this new site to SVN (once SVN is available...seems to be down right now).

The benefits of staticmesh over Forrest are:

1) Easier to use -- normal HTML, no special DTD, easily customizable CSS

2) Smaller and independent -- checkout and build, one of my favourite practices...no additional setup

3) Faster builds -- nuff said

It allows us to keep an easily maintainable site without worrying about complex look-and-feel concerns (i.e. even "java and C# developers" can do it). ;-)

If I hear nothing back by tomorrow night, I'll assume everyone agrees.

Clinton
