Larry,
Not sure of what change precipitated the error. We did install the latest ibatis about two weeks ago. We are just not sure if that new version was pushed to production at that point.
The space works fine in sqlplus. In fact it works perfect with the sql genterated by ibatis logging.
No changes in java version, server version or drivers.

What happens if you run the sql in sqlplus with the space? Does it work there?
What change precipitated this error? New driver? server? java version? iBATIS version?

When run, this above will hang.

Nothing ever is returned.
We found that by removing the space after the minus sign "-#value#" everything worked perfectly. This used to work for the last year and just recently start failing.
We are using Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.4.0 - Production
