Hi, I set up X.org on my T61 to use HAL for input device configuration (xorg.conf contains no input devices at all).
Everything works fine using the evdev driver 2.0.8 on X.org server 1.5.3 except the ThinkVantage and Fn+Space keys report invalid keycodes. More specifically: "input-events" & "xev" report nothing, ACPI events get reported by "acpi-listen". In Xorg.0.log though, I get the following warnings: (WW) ThinkPad Extra Buttons: unable to handle keycode 360 (WW) ThinkPad Extra Buttons: unable to handle keycode 372 These warnings are printed only once, the first time I press the respective button. I was able to correlate them by checking the acpi-listen output. So the ThinkVantage button sends ACPI signal ibm/hotkey HKEY 00000080 00001018 and keycode 360. The Fn+Space key sends ibm/hotkey HKEY 00000080 00001014 and keycode 372. Is this a bug of thinkpad_acpi or of the evdev driver? Any ideas how I could debug it further? Using the debug_level sysfs property I couldn't get more information.
