On my Thinkpad T23 (26471D1) running mostly Debian stable, "modprobe thinkpad_acpi" on 2.6.32-rc6 yields
"FATAL: Error inserting thinkpad_acpi (/lib/modules/2.6.32-rc6/kernel/drivers/platform/x86/thinkpad_acpi.ko): No such device". This T23 has successfully loaded thinkpad_acpi on various older kernels.
