Hello,

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad W520 4276-39U and am unable to control LCD brightness.

The laptop is running Linux Mint 13 Maya, the distro-stock 3.2.0-23
kernel, the acpi_backlight=vendor boot parameter and, what appears
to be, a fully patched thinkpad_acpi.ko.  Not sure if it's relevant,
though, it's running on an NVIDIA Quadro 1000M GF108GL set to
discrete mode (I think), with X.Org X Server 1.11.3 and the NVIDIA version
    295.40 driver.

When I click the Fn+Home or Fn+End (LCD brightness up and down), the
brightness slider pops up, though the slider doesn't indicate
changes, and there's no brightness change.  Additionally,
    thinkpad_acpi is logging the following:
        * unknown possible thermal alarm or keyboard event received
unhandled HKEY event 0x6050
please report the conditions when this event happened to
ibm-acpi-devel@lists.sourceforge.net
Please advise.

Thank you in advance,

Andrew
