Try using DELETE command from ISMF panels. It works most time for me!

Single volume, but defined with VOL=(,,,4) Volser SMSXX1 Now the volume is available from another LPAR. The new system has no 'HLQ1' datasets, the original BCS wasn't imported. The original system is shut down. I want to delete the dataset, just to clean up the volume. How can I do it ? I tried DEL HLQ1.DATASET.G0805V00 NVR FILE(DDNAME) and several other, no success.
