An analyst wrote a COBOL program to run in the USS environment. The program has a series of DISPLAY verbs. The program compiled successfully, but, upon execution, he cannot find the output for the DISPLAY verb.
I read the manual and discovered a reference to the SPECIAL-NAMES paragraph and pointed it out to him. He said he rewrote the program to use the SPECIAL-NAMES but still no output. I haven't programmed in COBOL for years. So, I am not as fluent in it as I used to be. My question is how does one setup a COBOL program to issue DISPLAYs in the USS environment; where does the DISPLAY output go; and, finally, what JCL is required for this?
