State agency in Long Island, NY is seeking a qualified Application or
Project Manager for the Enterprise Asset Management System from Indus
International called Passport.
June 16, Start date
Responsibilities:
-Manage and coordinate the daily operation of the application
-Liaison between the various business units of the Division regarding
application use and functionalities
-Consults with business units� management and staff to identify and document
business needs and objectives, which may include review of operational
procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, security
requirements, etc.
-Use of Passport Knowledge (Version 9/10) to evaluate, recommend and
implement baseline methodology to meet the business needs of the Division
leveraging Passport as an enterprise system.
-Manage and prepare business specifications, project plans, conversion and
implementation of strategies, manage changes and impacts to operations,
review and approve procedural documentation, secure consensus and
cooperation from end users and senior management.
Experience Skills:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor�s Degree from a four year college or university, preferably in
Computer Science, Information Systems Technology or Project Manager.
-10 + Years of overall IT Experience.
-5 + Years of managing design and development of large scale computer
systems
-Experience with technical concepts, planning and tracking, management
project interdependencies
-Consulting experience in an IT strategy / Business consulting role
-Strong business communication and interpersonal skills
-Conceptual understanding of current technologies for software application
development
-Ability to communicate the impacts of technical improvements to
non-technical associates, experience analyzing user requirements, designing
and documenting system components.
-Knowledge of the following Mainframe and Enterprise Systems/Components
MVS/ESA DB2
CICS VPS
COBAL RACF
Websphere TCP/IP
Internet Explorer Java 2 JRE SE
- Preference will be given to candidates who are knowledgeable of Indus
International EAM named �PASSPORT�
