Hi Patrick, Hi List Members I was successful in FTPing a TRSMAINed file using your instructions. I... 1. Did a physical dump of a 3390 disk volume using ADRDSSU, with the output going to disk, rather than tape. 2. I TRSMAINed the data. 3. I FTPed it to our Anonymous Server 4. I FTPed it back down to the Mainframe. 5. I TRSMAINed (unpack) it to a flat file. 6. I ran the ADRDSSU Restore process using the flat file as input.
A look-see of the restore disk looks 'ok'. I also did the same scenario, except instead of FTPing, I used Hummingbird to TRANSFER (RECEIVE & SEND) back to the Mainframe. This TRSMAIN-ed (UNPACK) Dump data also worked. I have spend the last 3 days on this, trying different types of TRANSFERs, Pre-allocating datasets, BLKSIZE=32760, ...etc..etc,. But was never successful in getting ADRDSSU to accept the data. Like I mentioned above,... I was successful ONLY if I TRSMAINed (pack/unpack) the data. I am not sure why the boss wants to download to the PC, then upload to the Server. I can go direct from the Mainframe to the Server with no problems.. I'll have to query him. I still have to clean up the process,... But thanks for your help!
