There exists a procedure called "syslog writer" (pgm IASXWR00) which
executes external writer with an output class of L (let's day class L for
example).(And after you issue the command WRITELOG L)
Since the historic syslog output probably exists in the spool as the name
SYSLOG you may see the former days' syslog info like recent day's log.
You may save old syslog output info into somewhere and delete it from
spool. This may show you recent syslog data. Another way, you can print old
days' system log with a different name to the spool and delete the unneeded
syslog output.Hope this helps.
