We did that last year. We had 9 z/OS systems envolved. The most important steps: 1. Check the new GRS PTFs with IBM 2. Create the RNL lists based on MIM lists 3. Define GRS structures to operate in STAR mode, XCF and PARMLIB definitions 4. Check all the enqueue/dequeue activity in your systems using ISGRUNAU tool from SYS1.SAMPLIB. It can started as started task or job. You can verify the results executing ISGACLS0 clist from SYS1.SBLSCLI0. 5. After done all the steps above we had all the systems shutdown at the same time and IPLed all of them using the new GRS customization. 6. Simulate some situations in order to be sure everything is ok.
