Hi Bruce, Indeed it appears in the index section of MVS System Messages manual but there is no additional explanation. Except releasing a hold status job via JES2 release command, so far I have never seen or issued an MVS release command. First of all, I have considered that what can be released via this command. Release an "unreleased stuff" . Nothing comes into my mind. Anyway maybe we don't have any conditions,devices, products or prerequisites so that we could issue this command. Kind regards.
