It's a bit more complicated than that. The information in the DCB can
come from what was coded on the DCB macro, from values explicitly
stored in the DCB by the program prior to OPEN, from values in the
DSCB, from values in the JFCB or from values stored in the DCB by the
DCB exit. They values in the JFCB normally come from the JCL, but not
always.
