I do just to prevent any possible contention on the VSAM's.  They are
hit pretty heavily by internal and website users.

Ha!  I thought I was the only one in the world using Easytrieve to do
the same thing.  I don't use Easytrieve for much else anymore.  But why
repro to seq first?  EZT can read through and process a vsam on FILEA
directly like a seq file.
