William,

IBM used to have the equivalent of a corporate scrap heap. Every piece of
warehoused equipment in the company that was to be gotten rid of was on a
list that could be perused if you had the correct access.

I'm not sure if purchasing at IBM has access to the list or if it still
exists but if anyone from IBM is listening here and feeling generous they
may help you.

The closest I can come is a small one inch by three inch 3705 id tag from
the front panel which my manager approved me taking.

Subject: 3705

It looks like I am now the proud owner of a 3705, bought at auction sight
unseen. It is apparently in very nice condition, but the front panel has
been removed.

The 3705, as you know, has a very pretty panel. Lots of things to fiddle
with.

Does anyone have a panel sitting around?

I will pay decent bucks for a nice one, and am interested in even a ratty
one.
