Hi folks, it seems SHOWMVS cause memory leaks (orphaned storage).
A client report orphaned CSA storage in the DB2 version code. Happens only if SDSNLOAD is available for SHOWMVS via STEPLIB/LNKLST. I was not able to reproduce but he runs a mix of V7 and V8. In some cases SHOWMVS omit the CAF (DSNALI) DISCONNECT. I'll add some debug code to verify if this is related to the problem. Please verify using IPCS VERBX VSMDATA OWNCOMM DETAIL (Source ACTIVE is fine for VSMDATA). Also MXI function CSR will be very useful. If you seen this on your system please contact me and I'll provide some debuging code to detect the causer based on version 711. I still wonder how many sysprog watch this !!! Perhaps a good pointer to start such a discussion. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Kind regards i. A. Roland Schiradin Alte Leipziger Lebensversicherung a.G. IT-Betrieb Tel.
