Hello, We need Unicode services for DB2 V8. We let DB2 load its table at DB2 start up (SYS1.SAMPLIB(CUNSISM6)). I have also assembled that same table and put its (large ~10216 pages of real storage) image in SYS1.PARMLIB since DB2 has been known to have problems loading the table. Upon failure, we can issue SET UNI=xx to load it. I'd prefer just to load the darn thing at IPL time but was out-voted.
The storage used is not much of an impact to our large systems. Hope this helps.
