AFAIK the z990 compatibility (no longer available) and z990 Exploitation support is required if you are going to run on a z990 (and I assume z890). The Exploitation support is NOT a series of PTF's but is a separate orderable package from Shop zSeries (or however you order). You will not have this support just from the PSP.
