On a z900 you will suddenly find yourself running in 64-bit mode (ARCHLVL
2) unless you have previously installed the Bimodal Accommodation feature.
The problems you discover in that situation may well dwarf any and all
others. The feature is free; a simple FMID APPLied onto your existing z/OS
1.4.

If all your ISV software is current, you may not see problems in ARCHLVL 2.
But remember: THERE IS NO BACKOUT. You can't just ask IBM to please put the
machine back the way it was because the guts of the 9672 will be strewn
about all over the floor. There is no remediation except to slog forward.

If you have the Bimodal feature already installed, neither z/OS nor any
application will see a difference because the system will truly be running
in ARCHLVL 1.
