Doesn't matter.  It's not checked when processing the statements.

The APAR mentioned was closed FIN with the highest level being 706,
so it should have been fixed in 707 (z/OS 1.4) anyway.

Craig,

I guess it could be a hex data issue, but I would think you looked
at that already and would get a warning in ISPF when going into
edit.  Besides, I purposely tested putting some hex data instead
of spaces and it still worked (on z/OS 1.6).

If you want to TSO XMIT your member to a data set, FTP in binary
to your work station and email that to me, I'll be happy to give you a
second pair of eyes.
