Since once the ABEND is issued it's too late, it would be up to the
application (i.e. CICS) to "flush" the statistics by closing the files
before the ABEND is issued.
Which is what I was saying. CICS is running normally and the operator
issues the "CEMT P SHUT I" request/order. CICS accepts the request
and can process it however it wants including flushing the stats
BEFORE pulling the plug by doing the ABEND/Abnormal Termination. It
is not as if the operator aborted CICS (Force Cancel/etc) instead of
asking it to do the abort itself in an orderly manner.
