One of my former clients had a similar issue when using my onepak jobs. The problem was that they rebuilt the onepak system they cloned the CA-1 failsafe usermod (or pehaps it was SMP/E installed hooks at the time) into the onepak system but didn't have the failsafe SVC or CA-1 installed. When they started restores at their DR drill all of the FDR jobs abended since they couldn't open the tape. They paged me to bail them out and after I figured out what happened I ended up switching their process to restore the FDR/ABR catalog to the floor system and ran all of the restores from there (using the floor system for recovery has always been my preference anyway, but that is another thread). Moral: Make sure your DR onepak (or mini) system at least IPLs at home and can run a restore.
